Famous Mo #21

Day 21 brings up the three-week mark in Movember and today’s mo is a Bandit from the 70’s:

Mo #21: Burt Reynolds

The Bandit I was referring to is of course Bo ‘Bandit’ Darville – the character played by Burt Reynolds in the 1977 film Smokey and the Bandit – the second highest grossing film of the year behind Star Wars! He’s starred in plenty of films since then (including another favourite from my youth – The Cannonball Run) and for some random trivia, he claims to have turned down the role of James Bond after Sean Connery left the franchise stating “an American can’t play James Bond. It just can’t be done.” [-Wikipedia]

You can donate to Movember to support the Cancer Society and the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand via my Mo Space page.
