Fog, fog and more fog

More goodness from the NASA MODIS Rapid Response System,

This image gives you a clear look at just how extensive the freezing fog and/or low cloud has been in the lower South Island in the last couple of weeks.

Taken at 10:55am on 12 July, pretty much every major valley and basin is filled from the Mackenzie southwards (including most of Southland!)
